Using a Prefix

Prefix disabled (default)

By default, RaidProtect only uses Slash commands (/) to interact with the bot. This ensures intuitive and consistent usage with Discord standards.

Prefix enabled (optional)

If you prefer to use certain commands with a custom prefix, you can enable this option. The default prefix when enabled is ?, but it can be changed to suit your needs. Once enabled, the following commands can be used with the configured prefix:

• ?raidmode
• ?ban
• ?tempban
• ?unban
• ?kick
• ?mute | ?timeout
• ?unmute | ?untimeout
• ?jail
• ?tempjail
• ?unjail
• ?warn
• ?slowmode
• ?lock
• ?unlock
• ?userinfo | ?ui
• ?clear

How to enable or disable the prefix

1. Open the settings menu by typing /settings.
2. Navigate to the "Prefix" command option.
3. Enable or disable the prefix according to your preferences. If enabled, customize the prefix by entering the desired character or string.

Prefix configuration

Select a prefix for message commands. If none is set, message commands will be disabled.

Commands usable by prefix:
raidmode, ban, tempban, unban, kick, timeout, untimeout, warn, slowmode, lock, unlock, userinfo, clear

Delinvoke: Automatically deletes the message containing the command when using prefix commands.

Slash commands (/) remain available even if the prefix is enabled. It is recommended to avoid prefixes already used by other bots to prevent command conflicts.

🔒 Apply command permissions

By default, prefix commands only account for each command's own Discord permissions. The rules you set in Discord (Server Settings → Integrations → RaidProtect, per role, member or channel) apply to slash commands only.

To apply them to prefix commands as well, enable the Apply to prefix commands option in the permissions panel of /settings. It is off by default.
